Today was the Ford EcoBoostChallenge food drive for The Western Pennsylvania Humane Society’s Ellie’s Pet Pantry. We had over 20 people show up to donate food for this wonderful cause. Thanks to Ford and the Humane Society for helping us with the event. We successfully filled the truck with just over 1,000 pounds of donated pet food.
Today’s @EcoBoostChallenge truck inspiration shots.
Ellie’s Pantry Pet Food Drive

For my community service activity, I am partnering with the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society and will he having a pet food drive for Ellie’s Pet Pantry. Ellie’s Pet Pantry provides pet food to families in
need so they can keep their pets in the home. The Humane Society is two blocks from my house so I’m glad I can support such a great organization in my neighborhood.
If you’re in Pittsburgh, please stop by with a donation of cat or dog food.

Let’s fill the truck for this great organization.
I think I need this.
Start your engines! Today was the first day of competitive driving in the F150. I didn’t drive the truck to work today because I didn’t want to waste the trip on sub par gas mileage so I saved the drive for this evening with my husband and the dog. We did a great 26 mile loop around the city of Pittsburgh - 23.5 MPG…I should add, all while in a pair of stilettos! Such a great night for a drive and what a fun way to get to know our new hometown. Looking forward to tomorrow’s journey!
yes yes yes YES <3
So the truck is big…really big. The size has actually grown on me and I’m loving how powerful I feel behind the wheel. I used the truck all weekend to do my regular routine - go to the grocery store, dog park, etc. The features in the truck are so luxurious. Some observations:
- The truck has air conditioned seats!! Amazing.
- The Sony speakers sound better than the ones in my house.
- The navigation system is awesome - I didn’t get lost once. :)
- The parking assist and camera have already proved themselves invaluable.
Here are all 8 trucks before they left Dearborn, MI.
